Marek Hrubec，the Director and a Senior Research Fellow of the Centre of Global Studies, Czech Academy of Sciences, and a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and of the International Academic Committee of the China-CEE Institute under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is the author, co-author and editor of many books and articles about globalization, China-Central Europe relations and cross-cultural dialogues.

　　Looking back on the past 40-plus years， we see clearly the crucial importance of the reform and opening up policy for China. While advancing its own development， China has always held high the banner of peace， development， cooperation and win-win results， worked to align the Chinese Dream with the global dream， promoted global economic growth through international cooperation platforms such as the Belt and Road Initiative， and provided Chinese proposals for world peace and human development. In this book， Chinese and foreign scholars interpret China's reform and opening up and the Belt and Road Initiative from various perspectives. Their new cross-cultural approach allows readers to better understand China in the context of greater cultural diversity and modernities.
