《人间正道:构建人类命运共同体(英)》:
To build a global community of shared future in the face of such profound changes in the world is not only necessary and urgent in the practical sense, but also essential as well as legitimate in a deeper sense. From the perspective of historical development, the essence of the past century's great changes is the great development and adjustment of the international order. Its core issue is the trends of the progress and direction of the international order. Its fundamental driving force lies in the breakthroughs of the scientific and technological revolution and the industrial revolution, as well as ideological and system innovations. In the current world of developments, transformation and adjustments, factors of uncertainty and instability keep emerging, and conventional security and nonconventional security threats are intertwined, but economic globalization, international multi-polarization, non-Westernization and global governance are making progress, and cultural exchanges are deepening. These are the basic directions, and they are not and will not be totally reversed. This only reinforces the need to take a proper historical and holistic approach to assessing international developments and the right approach to China's role. We need to keep up with the new changes, trends and features of the international situation. Under the long-term effects of this historical process, the resource advantages of different regions around the world could be better allocated and used. Developing and developed countries could realize interactive development through unimpeded flow of factors of production and connection of industrial chain, value chain and supply chain. As a result, social productivity will be further developed and released, markedly improving the levels of development in the world as a whole. Global human interaction has become deeper and more extensive than ever before, and countries are becoming more interconnected, more interdependent and closet than ever before.
What is also of historic significance is that the driving forces of globalization are also being regrouped. Emerging economies and developing countries are more actively participating in the global division of labor and industrial cooperation, and have become important new forces in a new round of economic globalization. In view of their own relatively decreasing gains from globalization, some Western countries have responded with rising protectionism and populism, as well as obvious anti-globalization tendencies.
