Tian Yongxiang，started his career in international affairs after getting his master's degree. He successively served as the director of the Bureau of Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee; Second Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan; Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Russia; and Consul General of China in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Mr. Tian has long been engaged in research on international politics and China's diplomacy and in party-to-party exchanges. He is currently a specially-invited research fellow at the China Center for Contemporary World Studies （CCCWS）.
