Physics is a natural science based on experiment. Experiment is an important part of physics and plays a critical role in teaching.Laboratory experiment in college physics is a compulsory course for science and engineering students. After the course, not only can students deepen their understanding of physical knowledge, improve their experimental skills, but promote their creative thinking and scientific literacy.On the basis of the previous textbook of English hinese Laboratory Experiments in University Physics,we write this new textbook, which requires students to learn, understand and accomplish relatively complicated physics experiments in English, to cultivate excellent talents with global horizon.We hope that the textbook is helpful to improve students academic English, as well as their experimental skills and innovative ability.

The textbook involves thirty college experiments in the field of mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics and modern physics. The textbook is organized as follows: the first part including Chapter 11 and 12 introduces the error theory, as well as the skill to process and analyze data with using Origin software. Specifically, experimental skills such as experimental table aking, scientific calculation, figure plotting, standard deviation, error transfer, curve fitting and other will be learned.The part two consists of fifteen fundamental experiments which train students to grasp basic experimental skills. In the third part, students will challenge fifteen advanced and comprehensive experiments, and develop their independent and innovative thinking.
