颜方明所著的《翻译过程的认知机制研究》从认知范畴化视角提出,翻译过程是译者对原作的再认知过程,是对原作范畴化概念集合的一种再范畴化。我们可以从宏观、中观和微观三个层次的视角对翻译的再范畴化认知过程进行解释。宏观上,翻译活动因为发生在源语和译语两种不同的范畴体系之间,从本质上说可以被理解为再范畴化认知:中观上,翻译再范畴化是译者采取的一种跨语言、跨文化的交际策略:微观上,翻译再范畴化的几种认知操作模式可以对语境化概念如何在译者的认知加工过程中被再范畴化作出了较详细的解释。本研究引入了原型范畴化理论对翻译过程进行研究,提出了四种认知模式,对语境化概念在语词概念原型基础上的认知加工过程进行了探讨。
