段进，东南大学建筑学院教授、博士生导师，中国科学院院士、城市规划设计研究院总规划师。致力于城市空间理论及详细规划设计的研究近30年，出版了我国城市空间发展理论的首部专著及后续研究专著11部，发表论文90余篇。先后主持和参加完成国家自然科学基金重点项目、青年项目、面上项目以及部省级科研项目10余项。科研项目获得教育部科技进步一、二等奖。设计作品获全国优秀规划设计一等奖3项，二等奖8项，省级优秀工程设计一等奖12项。研究的成果已成功应用于2014青奥会青奥村地区、南水北调江苏段、大运河遗产江南段、苏州古城，以及南京南站、武汉站、苏州站多处高铁枢纽地区等规划设计工程中。
