The next day was the last day of the school term and there were no proper classes. No one was going to do any work that day. Hundreds of children moved from class to class, talking exatedly about their summer holidays.Fizza sat in the computer classroom and listened. Syhe heard about trips to Disneyland, summer camps in America, and holidays in Spain, Italy and Portugal.Babs was telling a group of the frightening ‘coor girls in their class about her sailing holiday with her cousins in Greece. Fizza pretended to be bujsy working at the computer so she didn’t have to tell anyone about her
holiday on the very quiet, pollution-free island of Sark.
Suddenly four boys ran into the classroom, laughing
and shouting. Fizza noticed that one of them was Billy Adams, the ‘seriously good-looking guy’ that Babs had seen on the bus the evening before. Fizza smiled to
herselfwhen she saw Babs cover her face with her hands
in embarrassment. The group of ‘cool’ girls whispered
to one another in excitemer:tYat the boys‘ arrival. These
boys didn’t care about school; they just wanted to have
a laugh. They were always in trouble with the teachers, which made them even more attractive to girls. Fizza
hid shyly behind her computer.
‘Who’s good at computers in herel‘ asked Billy.
The girls looked at one another. They all knew how
to use chatrooms but not much else.
‘Why?’ asked one of them.
I need help with some pictures:
‘I know who can help you, Billy!’ someone said in a voice that was a bit too high and a bit too loud.
Fizza looked out from behind her computer to see who had spoken; she was surprised to see it was a very red-faced Babs. And when Billy Adams turned to look at her,-she turned from red to purple! Fizza thought her poor friend was about to explode with embarrassment.
‘Yeah?’ he said.
