Sonar surveys of the Loch using the latest equip-ment have failed to find any conclusive evidence ofNessie's existence, but neither have they proved thatshe doesn't exist. Some accounts may well have beensighted through the bottom of a whisky glass, butthere are still a remarkable number of eye witnessaccounts that ring true.<br> Also, the "monster in the Ioch" phenomena seem tobe spreading. A lake as far away as Japan now claims ithas its own monster and the latest to join the "monsterin a lake" set is Lake Van, a salt water lake in SouthEastern Turkey.<br> Loch Ness has many moods from the sultry to theserene. Strange currents move across and below thesurface and even stur-geons and dolphinshave been known toswim across the Loch,so who knows whatpeople have seen ornot seen.
