Sheila Melvin writes about music and the arts in China,and works as a writer at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.Jindong Cai is an orchestra conductor,who also writes about music in China and directs the US-China Music Institute of the Bard College Conservatory of Music. They are the co-authors of Rhapsody in Red：How Classical Music Became Chinese and Beethoven in China： How the Great Composer Became an Icon in the People's Republic.
