Almost all of us like holidays and every people has their own
holidays. Most Western holidays have to do with religion, but somealso derive from folk traditions. In the trend of globalization many Chinese people begin to observe Western festivals. It is indeed a good thing to have some of those holidays, but we should also know the names of the holidays that we observe, how they came into being, and what their significances are.
