车宁薇，北京第二外国语学院副教授，应用语言学硕士，英语专业硕士研究生导师，中国翻译协会专家会员。车教授的主要研究领域包括普通语言学、应用语言学、跨文化交际、公示语翻译等。车教授多次主持校科研和教改项目，撰写、翻译及编著多部图书，包括《文化震撼之旅马来西亚》（2008年，旅游教育出版社）、《公示语汉英翻译》（2007年，中国对外翻译出版公司）、《第二语言习得概论》（2006年，南海出版公司）等，还在国内各学术期刊发表学术论文近二十篇，包括“从乔姆斯基的语言观认识普遍语法理论研究方法的特征”、“从语言能力和语言运用的角度探讨语言变体在语言交流中的可理解性”、“大学英语教材编写模式初探”、“浅谈英语教学中阅读材料的选择”、“英汉公示语对冗余信息的处理及相应翻译策略”、“公示语翻译，基于译入语文化特征的归化翻译模式”等。

One release of smoke with one shotof gunfire signified 100 enemies； two smoke releases withtwo shots of gunfire meant 500 enemies； three smoke releaseswith three shots of gunfire indicated more than 1 000 ene-mies.
